Because I'm still in love with you on this harvest moon.

Tonight this was the Moon that greeted me as I was heading home from a day out with my best friend. I have always called a moon this orange a "Harvest Moon". Not sure if that's what it's called or not, but it works for me. This one was a close up of it. The next one was taken with the smaller lens. Harvest Moon by Neil Young.

The monkey on your back is the latest trend (day 44)

Me being silly.  My husband calls me Pomonkey, so this is me making my monkey face. Anyone else but you by The Moldy Peaches. The reason for this song is the fact that everytime it comes on we sing it at the top of our lungs. Great times.

Wild thing, I think you move me (day 43)

My friend Deserae's Bengal cat Dunkin. He's so beautiful, and big! Wild thing by The Troggs.

Just tonight I stood before the Tavern... (day 40)

This is The Tavern,  located in historic Abingdon, Va. It is the oldest building in Abingdon and one of the oldest west of the Blue Ridge Mtns. There are records showing that it was built and established in 1779.  Used from the very beginning as a tavern and overnight inn, The Tavern has had it's share of famous guests. Just to name a few: Louis Philippe, King of France; President Andrew Jackson; and Pierre Charles L'Enfant, designer of Washington D.C.
It is such a beautiful restaurant! It's still very rustic on the inside with the original uneven hardwood floors, narrow wooden staircase and stone fire place. The roof, as you can see is moss covered and adds to the charm of this wonderfully quaint place. If you are ever in the area I encourage you to stop by even if it's just to take a photo of history.  Those were the days by Dolly Parton. It's fitting I used her song, she grew up only 2 hours from Abingdon!

Out of the city And down to the seaside

I could not find a good link to this song any where, but maybe you will have better luck. Song of a Seagull by Joni Mitchell.

A she-cat tamed By the purr of a Jaguar (day 38)

My parents cat Baby.  She's a very sweet cat but absolutely hates to be picked up, for any reason! lol. So she whines like a little kid and starts throwing temper tantrums like a 2 year old when you hold her. She makes this face and sounds like she could eat you alive but it's all show. ;) Maneater by Hall & Oats.

so overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form (day 36)

A storm moving across the ocean. This was actually from a hurricane/tropical storm (although the name escapes me at the moment). I took this last Sept. at Myrtle Beach, SC. Notice the two seagulls? Tonight I chose Storm by Lighthouse as my title and song. It just seemed to speak to me. Enjoy!

You make it real for me

I captured this beautiful moment of my parents last Sept. The have been married for 33 years and they are as madly in love now as they were back then. Aren't they just too cute? I chose You make it real by James Morrison because it just fits. Love you both so much!

Hide and Seek, I play along while rushing cross the forest. (day 34)

Tonight I decided I'd share the BEAR! lol. I took this in August and it was a very H-O-T day in East Tennessee. All day I kept saying, "I want to see a bear." and  "I need to get a good picture of a bear." Well ladies and gentlemen, this bear showed off for me!!! I got two really good shots of him the rest are only ok. You have to understand though he was about 50 feet above me in the top of that tree. The second shot is the best. So without further adieu meet Mr. Black. Blog title from Tarzan boy by Baltimora.

If the weather's fine an' you got the time (day 33)

I was slightly bummed last night when we didn't get any of the snow that was covering the Midwest and Northeast. However, I woke up this morning to a beautiful sun-shinny 64 degrees. So I took a few pictures outside. I now have spring fever!!! Guess it's a good thing that Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow! Go listen to some warm feel good music. It's a beautiful morning by the Rascals.

Life is the bubbles Under the sea (day 32)

Two photos again today. I also decided to get a bit whimsical with the song selection. ;) Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. Oh wait, wrong movie. *giggles* Under the Sea by Sebastian.
