I'll be lounging on my couch just chilling in my Snuggie...

I know, I have been MIA for weeks. I'm sorry.... life has been busy and my photos were neglected. I have a TON to start adding.

This weekend Jon and I started our "Spring weekend projects", we are completely redoing our landscape around the house and working on somethings on the inside as well. We built and planted our 6'X6' flower bed for the front yard this weekend. We ordered 6 trees to be planted around the yard as well, but those haven't came in yet. The coming weeks will be busy but productive. I look forward to it. Thanks for sticking around!

Because I'm still in love with you on this harvest moon.

Tonight this was the Moon that greeted me as I was heading home from a day out with my best friend. I have always called a moon this orange a "Harvest Moon". Not sure if that's what it's called or not, but it works for me. This one was a close up of it. The next one was taken with the smaller lens. Harvest Moon by Neil Young.

The monkey on your back is the latest trend (day 44)

Me being silly.  My husband calls me Pomonkey, so this is me making my monkey face. Anyone else but you by The Moldy Peaches. The reason for this song is the fact that everytime it comes on we sing it at the top of our lungs. Great times.

Wild thing, I think you move me (day 43)

My friend Deserae's Bengal cat Dunkin. He's so beautiful, and big! Wild thing by The Troggs.

Just tonight I stood before the Tavern... (day 40)

This is The Tavern,  located in historic Abingdon, Va. It is the oldest building in Abingdon and one of the oldest west of the Blue Ridge Mtns. There are records showing that it was built and established in 1779.  Used from the very beginning as a tavern and overnight inn, The Tavern has had it's share of famous guests. Just to name a few: Louis Philippe, King of France; President Andrew Jackson; and Pierre Charles L'Enfant, designer of Washington D.C.
It is such a beautiful restaurant! It's still very rustic on the inside with the original uneven hardwood floors, narrow wooden staircase and stone fire place. The roof, as you can see is moss covered and adds to the charm of this wonderfully quaint place. If you are ever in the area I encourage you to stop by even if it's just to take a photo of history.  Those were the days by Dolly Parton. It's fitting I used her song, she grew up only 2 hours from Abingdon!

Out of the city And down to the seaside

I could not find a good link to this song any where, but maybe you will have better luck. Song of a Seagull by Joni Mitchell.

A she-cat tamed By the purr of a Jaguar (day 38)

My parents cat Baby.  She's a very sweet cat but absolutely hates to be picked up, for any reason! lol. So she whines like a little kid and starts throwing temper tantrums like a 2 year old when you hold her. She makes this face and sounds like she could eat you alive but it's all show. ;) Maneater by Hall & Oats.

so overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form (day 36)

A storm moving across the ocean. This was actually from a hurricane/tropical storm (although the name escapes me at the moment). I took this last Sept. at Myrtle Beach, SC. Notice the two seagulls? Tonight I chose Storm by Lighthouse as my title and song. It just seemed to speak to me. Enjoy!

You make it real for me

I captured this beautiful moment of my parents last Sept. The have been married for 33 years and they are as madly in love now as they were back then. Aren't they just too cute? I chose You make it real by James Morrison because it just fits. Love you both so much!

Hide and Seek, I play along while rushing cross the forest. (day 34)

Tonight I decided I'd share the BEAR! lol. I took this in August and it was a very H-O-T day in East Tennessee. All day I kept saying, "I want to see a bear." and  "I need to get a good picture of a bear." Well ladies and gentlemen, this bear showed off for me!!! I got two really good shots of him the rest are only ok. You have to understand though he was about 50 feet above me in the top of that tree. The second shot is the best. So without further adieu meet Mr. Black. Blog title from Tarzan boy by Baltimora.

If the weather's fine an' you got the time (day 33)

I was slightly bummed last night when we didn't get any of the snow that was covering the Midwest and Northeast. However, I woke up this morning to a beautiful sun-shinny 64 degrees. So I took a few pictures outside. I now have spring fever!!! Guess it's a good thing that Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow! Go listen to some warm feel good music. It's a beautiful morning by the Rascals.

Life is the bubbles Under the sea (day 32)

Two photos again today. I also decided to get a bit whimsical with the song selection. ;) Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. Oh wait, wrong movie. *giggles* Under the Sea by Sebastian.

Many years have passed since those summer days (day 31)

Although this was not my first choice of song to go along with this picture I think it fits. I love this song and it's haunting melody and for some reason, it spoke to me tonight. Fields of Gold by Sting.

That place where you can't remember And you can't forget (day 30)

WOW! 30 days, go me! lol. I know, I know this isn't the best song in all the world but it reminds me of my senior year in high school. (Yes, I'm aging my self here) But I think it's fitting for the photo. Title from the song Secret Garden by Bruce Springsteen.

California dreamin' on such a winters day (day 29)

OK so I'm posting two photos tonight. They are both of the same area on the same night. San Diego, California two February's ago. I love it there! Jon goes there about 5-6 times a year for work and this trip I got to go with him. We were on the other side of the Coronado bridge looking at the city. We stayed in the city but went there to a really nice park to enjoy the 68 degree temps that day. Enjoy your day and listen to some good music while dreaming of warmer weather and flip flops.(I know I was just complaining about no snow 2 days ago, lol) California Dreamin' The Mamas and the  Papas.

We, we make believe in a world we rule together (day 27)

First of all, I want to say a hearty hello to my new followers! HOWDY!! ;) Glad you stopped by and decided to stay! You guys ROCK!
So half of the east coast got pounded by snow last night, but in my little corner of Maryland, barely 1/4 of an inch. pfft, so much for my winter wonderland. So, to continue in my snow-less theme (I'm totally bummed by this man!) here is a beautiful pic, of no snow... Enjoy your snow, or lack there of, and go listen to some awesome music. Blog title from the song Trees by Mary Casey & Lovehammers. *as always click on link to hear the song and click on the photo to see it better*

I believe in the Kingdom Come... (day 25)

I was torn as to what the title should be for this blog. As you have realized by now I use song lyrics as the titles, and for this one there were two that worked well. The one I chose works because when you see something as amazing, and terrifying, as that water you know there is a much higher power than could ever be explained. But also, the line "I was cold as a stone" works because I froze my tukus off  when getting that photo. It was bloody cold! lol. Anyway, go listen to a great song I still haven't found what I'm looking for by U2 and enjoy all the beauty God has given to us.

...Is a smile on a dog. (day 15)

This is Tucker, my friend Deserae's dog. He is a complete love bug and I adore him as much as he adores me :) I was just taking random shots and he smiled for me. Haha! Gave us all a great laugh. Here's your 15 minutes Tucker-doo!  Title of blog is from: What I am by Edie Brickell

As time drifts away... I could stay here for ever (day 14)

As I'm listening to this song, I'm reminded of what pure love is... If you don't know this artist I encourage you to check him out. He has true talent and amazes me every time I hear him. Better Man by James Morrison. Two versions of the same photo. I loved them both so much I couldn't decide which to use. P.s. the pics become slightly distorted on here, so please click them to see the best view.

"I invite you to a world... (day11)

Where there is no such thing as time, and every creature lends themselves to change your state of mind." I highly recommend this band Shinedown. Also this song, from the new Alice in Wonderland film. "Her name is Alice".
This was my favorite book as a kid and I completely wore out the animated Disney film. But I find Tim Burton's version even better actually. Maybe it's my total fascination with Johnny Depp. Or perhaps it's my love for all things dark and gothic.

In these pages darkness clears... (day 10)

Sixteen Moons, Sixteen Years
Sixteen of your deepest fears
Sixteen times you dreamed my tears
Falling, Falling through the years

Sixteen moons, sixteen years
Sound of thunder in your ears
Sixteen miles before she nears
Sixteen seeks what sixteen fears

Sixteen moons, sixteen years
sixteen times you dreamed my fears
Sixteen will try to Bind the spears
Sixteen screams just one hears

Sixteen moons, sixteen years
The Claiming moon, the hour nears
In these pages Darkness clears
Powers bind what fire sears

Sixteeth moon, Sixteenth year
now has come the day you fear
Claim or be Claimed
Shed blood, Shed tear
Moon or Sun- destroy, revere."

Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness are the first two books in this 5 book series "The Caster Chronicles". Really excellent series if you like the supernatural Southern Gothic genre . Sixteen moons is sort of  the theme song of the first book

Meet me in St. Louis (day 9)

On a cold and windy day like today I thought I'd post a pic from a warm beautiful day in September. I took this with my cell phone while in St. Louis (One of my favorite cities). Meet me in St. Louis by Judy Garland
